12th Week as a Missionary

2/8/24 - I went to Desert Industries and helped sort out clothes and domestic things sorting out for people n need, so they can find what they're looking for, so they can live their life to their fullest, and have cherishable moments for life.  it was really hard, and my experience, made me realize that though I am never alone, even if I feel like I am alone, I remember the Savior doing everything himself without a hand to be offered during his service, to help him during his acts of service.  I don't think I could do a thing like that on my own, but with our promised Savior, the Holy Ghost, and the still small voice, I'm sure I can accomplish my mission with a heart full of gratitude.

2/10/24 - I went to Costa Vida for my dad's birthday.  It was so yummy!  I'm so lucky to have my dad as my dad. I'm not sure what I would do without my wonderful father.  To end his birthday, I went to a ice cream social with mom and dad held by our ward.  The feast table spread of all the different icecream, was incredibly delicious with toppers for ice cream, and the cookies and brownies.  It was a good way to spend the day.

- My experience today felt so special because it was a day to honor my father on the day he was born, and I am so lucky he was born to be my dad.  He too is lucky to have me a a daughter.

2/11/24 - I attended my ward conference, went to a fellow missionaries homecoming, and went to the district zone meeting.

- My experience today was pretty much hard for me, but it was nice to hear a mission experience from a missionary that finished off their mission yesterday.  I was moved because they worked so hard, and even though it was hard for them, they still made that effort to serve the Lord.  Then a former missionary made a good point during the district meeting, about making work fun, the making non work less fun, and that really stood out to me.

2/11/24 - I attended  my nightly devotional and felt the topics of the things discussed well and really made a influence on me how we can have patience towards others and to all those I tend to see during my service sites when I serve there.

- I felt the spiritual experiences today as I listened to wonderful missionaries share some pretty important points and ways on how we can always stay positive and patient to others around me.  What a wonderful night this has been to focus on what is important as a missionary of the Lord.

2/13/24 - I helped serve at the Bishop's Storehouse in so many ways.  I helped bag produce like apples, helped put a new bag in a garbage can, help with coolers, clean carts, bag dish soap and having them boxed, and did a just serve project for a good 15 minutes.

- My experience today felt like I was making a difference for all that I do in the Bishop's Storehouse, and every effort made, means a lot to someone else.  I'm glad that I get to serve there and serve amongst other missionaries just like me who has the same service site.

 - I attended my nightly institute class, and learned about all things happening if it weren't for Joseph Smith, there wouldn't be a restored Gospel and wouldn't be here, there would be no Book of Mormon, the Brass plates wouldn't have been translated without Joseph Smith.  We wouldn't even have temples on earth without Joseph Smith.  My experience today attending my nightly Institute class helped me to be grateful for everything that we have been given, because of Joseph Smith.

11th Week as a Missionary

2/3/24 - I went to Stake Conference and felt the Spirit strong today.  I even met Sis. Stapleton and President Stapleton.  I saw Sister Blacker and Elder Blacker.   It was an amazing experience to have met these wonderful people in my stake and I hope to see them more in many days to come.

2/4/24 - I went to the 2nd part of Stake Conference and continued to feel the presence of the spirit there as I sat with the fellow missionaries.

- My experience was really sweet because I got to take a picture with the missionaries and seeingthe joy they have serving in their mission.

2/5/24 - I attended the online devotional and I felt more meaningful to read my scriptures more. It was such an amazing experience to listen to such devoted missionaries speak with such wisdom.

2/6/24 - I colored a pretty ice cream cone pink and brown to signify the flavors strawberry and chocolate since they are both my favorite flavors.

And then I colored a pretty bird because why not? I like pink and there is nothing wrong with pink birds since it all came from my imagination.

- My experience coloring these for kids made me feel good inside because I know that it will make kids happy seeing them from service missionaries like me.

10th Week as a Missionary

1/25/24 - I went to Deseret Industries and helped sort out clothes with her.

- My experience serving at Deseret Industries was so sweet as I was serving with Mom spending every minute with her made things worth while

1/28/24 - I went to church and to my zone district meeting.

 - My experience was hard today fasting for a cousin of mine who was having a hard time recovering.  But I was so grateful that I was doing something for them, something so wonderful, in hopes that they get well soon.  I even prayed for their recovering breaking my fast.

1/29/24 - I attended my devotional for the week and listened to what the wonderful missionaries had to talk about and teach.

- My experience tonight made me feel really good, because then I can learn a lot from missionaries that I haven't thought about.  It's always great to hear some perspectives on things from fellow missionaries who always attend the devotional with me every Monday night.

1/30/24 - I helped out at the Bishop's Storehouse by bagging produce, helping out at the coolers, bagging more produce and cleaning carts.  Then I decided to take a break and do some just serve projects.

- My experience that day was totally worth it in the end, because I was doing more for the Savior, just like He did.  I just know one way or another, my mission is going to be a success. ❤️❤️

1/31/24 - I attended my Institute class for the night.  I love hearing about the Liahona and what I can do if you use it faithfully, and about Nephi building a ship.

- My experience: I am so grateful that I got to go to Institute, and feel the spirit of the Lord there as I listen to and  through the lesson.

9th Week as a Missionary

1/18/24 - I went to Desert Industries and helped sorted out clothes.  I love serving with my mom and I enjoy her company every time I serve at Deseret Industries.

- My experience serving at the Desert Industries was very hard working, because like any day, I had to stand there for hours sorting out clothes for people in need.  But just like Nephi, he had to do hard things too, but we are prompted to do hard things, so we can bless other people by our actions.

1/20/24 - I went to the Women's Conference to feel the spirit and take notes, and to donate the shoes we brought for those in Mexico.

- My experience was joyful, because I got to hear some talks from some fellow sisters that planned their talks for Women's Conference.  I absolutely loved hearing Women's Conference, because I get to hear their experience.  I even learned how to sew yarn to make a quilted blanket.  It was fun having to learn from a missionary who has their way of doing that.  I love being a service missionary!  It's so much fun!

1/21/24 - I went to church to support a fellow missionary on sharing their wonderful message with us.

- My experience going to church was quite pleasing because I to to see all the wonderful missionaries that was there at church with me that morning.  Even the District meeting I went to after was sweet, because it made me feel that much happier.

1/23/24 - I went to zone conference and it was great for what was considering that it was my 2nd zone conference.  I truely felt the Spirit there learning things that I never did that was new to me.

- My experience going to zone conference was nothing but amazing as I pretty much felt the Spirit all day until it was time to go home.  What a wonderful feeling it was to go and attend the zone conference.

1/24/24 - I attended my Institute class tonight and yet felt the spirit there.-

- My experience tonight was so amazing as I felt the spirit in class today.  I loved reading in the scriptures during class and I can't wait to find out what happens next in the Book of Mormon.

8th Week as a Missionary

1/11/24 - I went to the Deseret Industries and helped sort out clothes

 - My experience there felt uplifting there too, because I was helping other people just like me getting good quality clothes at fair prices that you won't find anywhere else.

1/12/24 - I went shopping at Walmart to buy shoes for Women's Conference to donate to give to a service project.  They will be sent to Mexico.

- My experience felt so joyful because it made me feel good knowing that my donation was going to good people who probably feel like they need a new pair of shoes to walk in.  Everyone needs comfortable and cute shoes to wear that are not worn out.

1/13/24 - I went to a fun missionary get together at Barro's Pizza and basically hanged with the fellow missionaries.

- My experience today was so much fun because we got to interact with fellow missionaries that we know and love.

1/14/24 - This morning I went to a missionary farewell for a missionary starting their mission. and later after that at 11:30 I went to my friends homecoming.  Then I went to a district meeting and a friend's open house.

- My experience today was so spiritual because I got to hear formal messages from a missionary who is starting out, and my friend's homecoming talk.  It was honestly just so special that I got to go to both.  It was special to also go to the district meeting to meet up with formal missionaries and go to my friend's open house which I honestly thought was really fun.

1/15/24 - I attended a missionary devotional online and discussed on how we can help people feel welcomed and loved so they can feel the Lord's love through our prescence and actions as we welcome them in to the Lord's church.  I felt so blessed to hear what all the missionaries had to say.

- My experience hearing the missionary devotional was so inspiring just to hear the missionaries words and apply them into our own lives, and we may be a great example to others just like the Lord has for who he went to.

1/16/24 - I helped do my part at the Bishop's Storehouse like bagging produce, and helping sweeping up the floor in the big produce room, and help clean cooler windows, and cleaning carts and bathrooms.  I even helped give out food orders from the coolers.  I did all that after we had our Storehouse District meeting, and my lunch.  Then later tonight I watched Wonka, the newest Wonka at a local Fatcats that I never been to, so for me It's a new location.

- My experience today felt to rewarding because I put more work in and I was willing to do things that many not always be my favorite thing to do but I'm sure that Lord would have wanted me to do it anyway.  I'm sure I made plenty of people happy doing it.

11/17/24 - I attended my nightly institute class. and followed along on the wonderful lesson that was being taught to us.  I even read the verses that was even taught in the lesson that was taught today.

- My experience today was so spiritual because I got to hear some pretty powerful words that was told to all of us.  I love the Book of Mormon and all that it can teach us.  So grateful to have the Book of Mormon in my life right now.

7th Week as a Missionary

1/5/24 - I went to Desert Industries and sorted out the usual.  I'm just kidding.  It was only clothes.

- My experience was challenging because I had to stand in one place for hours and it made my back ache, but it did make me feel good that I was helping someone else with the clothing.

1/8/24 - I went to church and went to the district meeting.  Then I watched a Come Follow Me video.

- My experience was so inspiring because it convinced me to study the Book of Mormon this year.  I love the Book of Mormon, because of how much power it has when you make sacrifices to read and study.

1/9/24 - I went to the Bishop's Storehouse and bagged some tomatoes.  Then we had our district meeting and lunch after that.  We are celebrating my friend who is ending a mission soon so she brought along a favorite treat of hers.  Then I did my part on helping out with the coolers and made bracelets afterwards.

- My experience was wonderful, because I helped patrons get the food they wanted from the coolers, and it made me feel good knowing that I was helping other people just like me.  I am going to miss my friend since I was with her serving in the Bishop's Storehouse, not as a companion, but in the same mission zone.  It's been a joy serving among her since I started my mission.

1/10/24 - Tonight I decided to attend a Institute class so I can feel the spirit during my mission.  It truely was wonderful since I got to go with my friends.

-My experience was truely wonderful, because I was uplifted when I heard the lesson that's taught by the teacher. I love the Book of Mormon, and I am so happy that I get to study it this year.

6th Week as a Missionary

12-28-23 - I gone through more missionary training and it was worth it, cause I learned a thing or two about being safe in the Bishop's Storehouse, and knowing what to do if there ever was ever a problem.  I even learned what to do if there ever is a shooter around.  Just 3 simple words, run, hide, fight.

- My experience that day has taught me so well with things I may not always know that happens in every day life.  I always love feeling safe and sound.  It always puts me in a comfort zone, and puts my mind to rest for a mere time.

12/30/23 - I spent New Year Eve by going to church, and went to a missionary New Year's Party.  It0 was great having spent a good while to spend time with a missionary you know and love.  I was ready for the year to be over.

- My experience was a bit terrifying having to socialize with missionaries that I never met, or having a strong bond over.  But it was a neat way to ring in the new year.  Especially if food was around.

1/2/24 - I went to the Bishop's Storehouse, and bagged potatoes and apples.  Then we had our district meeting and I shared a devotional about the Book of Mormon in Preach My Gospel.  I wanted to share a testimony I had of the Book of Mormon..  "I love how powerful the words are in the Book of Mormon.  It always gives me a reason to look back at it again.  It's always a blessing reading through this amazing book".  Then afterwards I had lunch and took role in a section of the coolers, then I helped bag the rest of the apples, helped clean carts, and helped sweep the floor in the small produce room of the Storehouse.  And then I made cute bracelets.

- My experience today felt so generous because I decided to help out sweep the floor when another missionary felt like they couldn't.  I felt happy doing the right thing for another missionary.  This I'm sure made a big difference. ❤️
